Summer Greetings Amigos!
I hope you’re staying cool wherever you are. Thank goodness as I write this from Texas, we’re not having the crazy heat wave of 100 plus from last summer! Here in my life things are pretty good. I wrote a bunch of songs. I’m putting them on a record as I write.
Here’s the news:
The new record’s title is With A Guitar & A Pen (With accent on Guit’ – which is country for Guitar.) These songs are penned in English and Spanish. About Life, Love, Rancho, Horses.
The music business world is changing rapidly!! I am planning to release an actual physical album/CD in early October, however, we are also trying something new.
From the time of this newsletter writing, we are starting an album pre-sale. The details about the presale (cost, timing, what you get, how to order etc.) are on the website, but basically, if you buy the album now, you’ll get a free download of one of the songs that will ultimately be included on the CD, plus an autographed copy of the CD when its ready to ship.
The song to download is called “A Wild One” which I wrote about an older horse that lived on our ranch in Arizona. He was kind of tired when he came to live out his retirement, but you could tell he had a great life in his younger years.
The pre-sale offer will go on for about a month from now.
'With A Guitar & A Pen' CD PRE-ORDER + EXCLUSIVE SINGLE!
Also, more news: I was accepted to be an artist on the Texas Touring Roster, which will go on through 2026. This means that small and big towns in Texas can book me to appear at your local libraries, community centers, schools, colleges, art galleries, workshops, etc. These organizations can apply to the Texas Commission For The Arts for a grant to help pay for the performance. You can find out more information and learn how to apply at the Touring Roster Website www.arts.texas.gov.
That’s kind of it for now, we’re starting to fill up the touring calendar for the fall and are excited about presenting all the new material. Take, care, have a good summer, stay cool!!
Abrazos,
Tish
