Tish Note - February 2024

Hi Amigos!

I hope your 2024 is going well so far. Just a quick note about some upcoming gigs that I’m excited about and hope you will attend!

February 23 – Poor David’s Pub in Dallas, TX. This will be a songwriter swap with the beautiful and talented singer-songwriter Florimay Holliday. Poor David’s is a listening room that has a long history with many a classic songwriter. My history with this iconic club goes back to the early 80’s, when I was still a pup songwriter. It’s always a pleasure to return!

March 3 – Gruene Hall, Gruene, TX. (noon to 3:30) This is a wonderful let your hair down Sunday afternoon with the familia kind of gig that I play with my longtime cohorts Marvin Dykhuis and Chip Dolan. Dancing and listening with a cold Lone Star in hand! And plenty of picnic tables!

March 29 – San Antonio, TX. I will be keynote speaking for an evening meeting of The Texas Folklore Society.

April 13 – Austin, TX. The Women Of Note Festival. This is the first of what my friend Gail Lewis (of Austin’s famed Therapy Sisters) hopes will become an annual event.

May 5 – Bryan, TX. Michael Hearne’s Big Barn Dance and Singer-Songwriter Festival. Mike is one of my longtime friends and music collaborators since my New Mexico days. He has hosted the Taos Barn Dance for a couple of decades, now he is extending the fun to Bryan, TX. Come check it out! Also, it’s Cinco De Mayo! Come kick your heels up!

A little more news – All is well in Mundotish! I’m working on a new record and hope to release it hopefully by summertime! So, with that – I better go work on my songs… I promise I will play some of these at the shows mentioned above.

Sending hugs and I hope we can see you soon!!

Love,
Tish
